Winter can be a great time to visit Scotland Did you know Aberdeenshire is famous for its blue-sky winter days? Also, for those who are interested in their photography, we get some amazing low winter light. On one of our tours last week, we travelled up Royal Deeside to Balmoral Castle (the famous Scottish Residence of the Royal Family). We then tasted whisky at The Royal Lochnagar Whisky Distillery and saw the mountain called Lochnagar, where the pure water used by the distillery has its source. The world famous Dunnottar Castle was looking imperious whilst bathed in low winter sun. With 2000 years of history behind it, and the most impregnable of settings, if you only see one castle, see Dunnottar. For more information about tours please visit www.timeexposure.travel .
